Yo man!! Otylia gets ready to school.
Mommy prepared for the worst scenarios she anticipated would happen to me on my first day at the playgroup.
1) struggle not to go into the class..
2) cling on to her leg that she hardly can move..
3) cry like there's no tomorrow.
Her worries were however superfluous. I surprised her by letting the teacher hold my hand and led me into the class without any struggle from me (who knows, the sun may probably rise in the west ..one day..)
Prior to this, i were never in such a big group. Feeling a bit awkward, but believe will overcome the shyness very soon. Afterall, everyone here shared the same first day experience like me. So, i'm not alone!!
Personally, mommy likes the 2 teachers there. She likes the way they handle the kids.
Less than an hour, Otylia started to hop and jump. She moved about in the class where there's fun, forgetting all about her mommy and grandma.
Later in the evening, daddy called..
Daddy:"Otylia likes to go school?"
Otylia:"Yes!"
Daddy:"Is school fun?"
Otylia:"Yes!"
Daddy:"Do you want to go school again tomorrow?"
Otylia:"WANT!!"
Am glad that Otylia enjoyed her first day in the playgroup.
Day 2
Mommy was late by 15mins today. Luckily i'm at porpor house and she brought me to the centre. Mommy hestitated whether she should press the bell. Finally decided to ring porpor to open the centre door for her because she didn't want everyone attention to fall on her.
The atmosphere was kind of a funny when she sees most parents stood back at a corner with no involvement. She realised only after she was told it was like a rehearsal day for tomorrow. "What's gonna to happen tomorrow..? what?? parents not allowed to stay in the class.." okok, guess it's a good time to prepare for a full transition also.
Otylia's favourite of the day - BUBBLES. Observing at one side, the teachers were coping well with the children.
Anxiety and shyness were now a past tense.. cheers!!!
Day 3
This must be a tearful day for most kids - a day without parent companion. However, my mighty Otylia did not cry lo.. yeah!!!!
Mommy and porpor, like the other parents, loitered outside the centre, tried all means to peep through wanted to know how was Otylia coping.
Finally class over. Saw quite a few kids with their eyes and nose looking red, but my Otylia is looking alright.. haha.
Later in the afternoon, teacher called mommy to give a feedback of what happened in class. She said Otylia is one of the few among those who did not cry and probably she is still young to understand what's going on (otylia is 2nd or 3rd youngest in the class)..
