New Activity

Unexpected activity involved this weekend. Porpor's house got this big "pool" and there, my first swimming lesson. A nice weather for a swim.

Changed into swim wear, all set to go...

Do it slowly, test water first..

To learn to swim, jumped into the water..

Enqi showing me some water fun.

Backstroke.... give it a try!!!

Haha.. backstroke - my best event, daddy & porpor worst nightmare!!!

.. i love the feeling of the water..

Daddy says squatting and bending to hold me, he's tired now..
i am not ready to come out of the water.. so how??

Porpor took over:) let's continue...
I defied gravity, i fly...

Let's play the bath toys instead..

What am i going to do next??

"Shark-Fin"?
Save a surfboard, ride a swimmer..but this is a swimboard!!

I know i do not need a swimboard now..
but thought i should try and fail, than fail to try..

Porpor all wet now.
I will not rest until my good is better..
and my better is best..

Daddy had enough rest.. took over from here.

Grab... the balls, since i can go "handfree"..

Where's everyone? Fall in...lets take a group photo.

That's me!! zzz-ing all the way back to home..

"..i can't fly but i can swim and that's the next best thing,
the water is my sky!!"

Change in sleeping habit

In & out of the swing numeral times before i fall asleep, FINALLY!!
This swing was upsized recently. I used to sleep best in the swing for at least a stretch of 3-4hrs. But now, not more than 2hrs. Not because of the swing, but the change in my sleeping habit.

Every night before i sleep, i would practise those skills that i mastered. Flips, rolls, sit up, etc etc.. The logistic i need for my sleep is no longer the swing but a BIG BIG bed.

Mommy said i m a "rough" baby who likes "rough" play. No worries, daddy just hold me high(his arm length), no tossing.. no shaking too.

Go Baby Go

These are the different stages of my gross motor development chart.

1. KICKING
2. PUSHING-UP
3. REACHING
4. SITTING UP
5. CRAWLING
6. PULLING UP
7. CRUISING
8. STANDING
9. WALKING
10. RIDING

Three more stages to accomplish. Stand and balance are the important steps in learning how to walk.

To aid me on walking, mommy got a new push toy - Stride-To-Ride lion

Yea.. i know i know. Should get behind it and walk..

Pushes the lion nose to hear the tune it plays, entertaining ya!!
I always love toys which come with music.

Let me explore this big lion first.. haha..having a "roaring" good time!!!

National Day - Playing with cousins

After MacRitchie, we went to Gonggong's house..
Big surprises for Mommy..

First..

I observe others.....

..and do the same..

Second...

am developing social skill.. can play along with my cousins..

..lastly, but most importantly..

I'M HAVING GIRL's TALK NOW!!!!

National Day

Daddy had promised to take me out if i finished my lunch.. am having porridge with fish and carrot.

Finally decided that i should start learning to sit on the carseat. My patience lasted not more than 1/2hr before i started to get cranky.

There we are.. at the MacRitchie Reservoir Park.
Quote:
History
MacRitchie Reservoir was constructed in 1867, by a donation of S$13,000 by philanthropist Tan Kim Seng, as the first impounding reservoir in Singapore. It resulted from an increase demand for water in the mid-19th century, which grew beyond the capacity of ox-drawn water carts. In 1891, the reservoir was extended and the enlarged Impounding Reservoir was renamed as Thomson Road Reservoir in 1907. Then, in honour of the Municipal Engineer, James MacRitchie, who designed and built the reservoir, it was renamed again as MacRitchie Reservoir.

My horoscope stated that i m a deep thinker.. very true..

Keep Daddy amused by my funny action..
