First Start Complementary Feeding

5 months, 3 weeks and 5 days..

It's time I move on to complementary feeding.

I started today with "Healthy Times Barley Cereals". Mommy says it is fully supplemented with iron, vitamins and minerals for healthy growth and development.

Yummy!! Yummy!! I like it!!

Last Sun, Daddy secretly let me had a taste of vanilla ice cream too. Cool!!
It was really cool having ice cream in such a hot weather. Mommy was like screaming away seeing that..

Daddy says: "relax la.. ice cream is also milk ma.. moreover, she licks a little bit only.."

Mommy almost fainted!!

Role

"Ouch!!.. " Daddy startled up from his nap..

"Don't be alarmed, Daddy.. It's me.. I was chewing your finger.. can you also feel the 'little bug'?"

Of course!! Daddy feels it.. with pain..haha..

Daddy was very tired today. He slept late last night. Woke up at 5am to prepare my milk.

Why him??

Because, it was realised that Mommy was not an efficient "milk preparer". She took at least a 3-5 mins.

In order to shorten the time of keeping me awake, Daddy has been delegated to take over the role as "milk preparer" during the late night feed.

Thank you Daddy!!

A Keepsake

Otylia's Teething Begins

Exactly 5mths 3 wks, my first teeth appear on 23 April 2009.
(A day to remember)...

"Mommy.. don't worry.. my pain tolerance level is higher than you can imagine.. I am just not getting used to the "little bug" in there and keep using my tongue to feel it.."

A Blue Elephant

Daddy bought this shirt for me in Bangkok and even rhyme it like this:
"Otylia.. u see.. elephant ar.. elephant.. ELEPHANT!!!"

With my "woody pecker" laughter, Fri night was a pretty entertaining night!!

Resemblance

There's always debating on who i resemble.
Here.. the meter shows the result.

At least for now when i m 5mths old, i look equally like daddy & mommy..
"Mom, do u think u shd do a re-evaluation every 3mths since i m growing fast?"

My Daddy

Compared to Mommy, Daddy always has little time with me. However, every Sat morning he would carry me walk around the house before he goes to work. Mommy would take over from here.

Even if he spends less time with me, he would always remember to call home at noon just to make sure Mommy is coping well.

Whenever Daddy plays with me, I never failed to scream with joy. Daddy even commented that my laughter sounds like "woody pecker".. but he likes it!!

I sat on his tummy, played with his "little beard".
He gave me different toys to put into my mouth.
I bite and played his fingers when he's asleep.
He hugged and comforted me whenever I cried

And I always hear Daddy says:" It's ok la.. let her explore.."
And I always hear Mommy says:" no.. no.."

Nevertheless, I love both my Daddy & Mommy..

Little Monster

Mom says: "Little monster is back to home again"

I get cranky at times but i know she'll understand this is part of the parenthood.

I woke up as early as 6am to drink milk. I saw Mom's eyes half closed while feeding me. She is dozing off... zzzz..
"Wake up!! Mom, can u find me something to do otherwise i'll start biting my finger."
Though I enjoy biting my fingers, I realised that biting toes can be fun too.. haha..

At noon, Daddy held a pair of scissors. Guess what he is going to do..
"Oh no..no!! Daddy, Mommy, are you both a qualified hairstylist?"
"There's always a first time to everything..just be careful.."

Daddy is the stylist..he says:" I will trim abit at the back, and keep the fringe short so that it won't prick her eye..." sounds so professional, haha..
