25th Month Week 4

Mommy thought:"Is it time to start potty training for Otylia?"

She has no idea on how to start training Otylia. Porpor said during her time, she totally eliminate the use of nappy (that's going to be messy)

Mommy confirmed that Otylia is ready to start potty training since she is able to tell us everytime she pooed, also, took a clean diaper to mommy and said:"mommy, change"

We took out the potty chair and placed it in the bathroom. Took off her pants and diaper, let her sit on the potty chair bare-bottom and told her that:"...If Otylia wants shee shee.. must take off ur pants.. come in here to sit sit.. like what u doing now.. or u must tell porpor or mommy.. then mommy will bring u in.. "

The same day, in the next hr, Otylia pulled down her pants with her diaper still attached, walked into the bathroom. She removed her diaper, sat on the potty chair to pee. That's surprisingly and shockingly fast!!

Once, Otylia forgot that she did not wear diaper and wet herself and said:"..O-oh..." Wetting herself is something that she dislikes and that makes the training successful.

She must be feeling stressful to keep reminding herself that she is wearing the underpants only.. so mommy sometimes will remind her.. :"sheeshee must go toilet.."


She built up her vocabuary, able to put few words to form a sentence. Though the sentence may not be too long, but still understandable. Sometimes really amused by what she said.

Q:"What is meimei's name?"
A:"Sixuan.."

Q:"Daddy's name leh?"
A:"Papa.."

Q:"Mama's name?"
A:"Mommy.."

Q:"Where did gonggong go just now?"
A:"看医生打针.."
Q:"Qiqi 要打针吗?"
A:"NOOO..NOOO..怕怕。。"

Independency Struggles

Yesterday we went to the playground for some sliding fun.

Daddy let her slided down on her own.. and she did it!! One after another, she built up more confidence by doing it on her own and she actually slided down with both her hands waving in the air.. omg.. mommy heart was throbbing hard enough to drop..

Mommy said:" hold on to the side if not then we go home.."

Otylia turned to daddy:"..please daddy..."

Hmm.. since when otylia started to oppose mommy le??

Otylia shown the needs for independence thru daily routines like dressing, eating and playing.. She wanted to decide on what to wear, wanted to hold the spoon to feed herself, wanted to help on the household chores and insisted on the games she wanted to play.

However, the only thing mommy thought Otylia is still very dependent on her is her sleeping habit.. till now, she still needs mommy to lull her to sleep!!

25th Month Week 1

Taking photos for Otylia required a lot of patience. She is always distracted by something else and wanders off to look at it. Always, she ends up looking away after Mommy composed the shots.

Anyway, not all photographs need to be posed. Mommy is feeling lucky today. She captured moments of Otylia in her different moods.













Otylia kept pointing at the fountain.. she wanted to play with the water but Mommy said :"..no.."


She looked so disappointed after that.




Very persistant..










Mommy knows no matter how many times Otylia's name being called out, she refused to look at the camera..

Otylia 2nd birthday

Who's birthday? Ahhhh... It's Otylia's birthday..


Mommy got this tweety bird birthday cake from Bangawan solo.. all my cousins simply love the cake from Bangawan..


Yoyo.. yea!! My mommy cheers for me!!!


I'm crushed, i'm sandwiched...


We sang birthday song. I am taught both the english and mandarin version. Though my pronounciation weren't that fantastic.. but still passable laa..


Why is everyone looking so confused..? Apparently, there's a discussion going on..
".. shdn't we take a group photo first..? Of course we shd!!! So just hang on.. let everyone fall in...


There are so many members in the family, just gonggong and ah mah with their grandchildren... but there's one missing.. that's Ferlyn..

I had a wonderful night. By the time we reached home, it was past midnight. After shower, i fall asleep immediately. Got to wake up early the next day.. hehee..have a date with my godma.. she bought me a birthday cake to celebrate with me..

Who knows.. the next morning we woke up late and rushed thru the morning. I have not even taken my breakfast and off we go..

Godma bought this birthday cake - strawberry shortcake..


How i miss my ferlyn.. give her a hug to let her know that i missed her so much..

I certainly look forward to next year celebration. We will have ferlyn to join in the fun and also new addition - Samantha (Godma's baby is on the way.. :)..)
